Banana Mango Recovery Smoothie for Ultrarunners
After conquering an intense run, you deserve a treat that's not only delicious but also helps your body recover and recharge. Here’s the perfect recipe for a post-workout banana mango smoothie. This blend of goodness will have you feeling rejuvenated in no time.
* I originally got this recipe from my buddy Cameron Martz. He likes to use frozen strawberries instead of mangos, so you could easily substitute the frozen mangos in this recipe with frozen strawberries. Both recipes are awesome.

Directions:
Start with 1 cup of creamy oat milk in a blender—a great source of complex carbs that your tired muscles will thank you for.
Scoop in 1/3 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt. The rich protein content in Greek yogurt is like a high-five for your muscles, helping them recover and grow.
Throw in 1/2 cup of frozen mango chunks. Besides being delicious, mangoes are your vitamin C buddies, supporting your immune system and recovery.
Peel and add in a banana for that natural potassium kick. This mineral is a game-changer for maintaining muscle function and preventing those dreaded post-workout cramps.
Blend everything together until it's smooth and creamy.
Pour and drink slowly (good luck) to prevent a brain freeze.
Why Ultrarunners Should Try This Smoothie:
Refuel Right: The complex carbs in oat milk are perfect for replenishing energy stores after a grueling run.
Muscle Love: Greek yogurt provides a much-needed protein boost to help your muscles recover and prepare for the next adventure.
Vitamin C Power: Mangoes add a burst of vitamin C to support your immune system and overall recovery.
Stay Cramp-Free: With banana's potassium, your muscles stay in tip-top shape, helping to ward off those post-workout cramps.
So, whether you've just conquered an ultramarathon or wrapped up a long training session, this smoothie will take good care of you. Enjoy!
